BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The next Auburn Lakes Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 7:00PM. The meeting will be held at the Wingate Estates Clubhouse. The main topic of the meeting will be to approve the 2012 Budget. All members are welcome to attend.
BREVARD COUNTY SCHOOL BOUNDARY INFORMATION
An information meeting on the proposed changes to the school boundaries, affecting our community, is going to be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Manatee Elementary.
THEFTS IN THE COMMUNITY
Please be sure to remove all valuables and lock the doors of vehicles parked in the driveway. Thieves have been entering unlocked vehicles and removing items such as GPS devices, iPods, keys, etc... If you see any suspicious activity, please call the Brevard County Sheriff immediately ay (321) 633-7162.
SELF HELP HOMES
The association is now maintaining the lawns of nine homes in the community that the owners have abandoned due to either foreclosure or other reasons. Unfortunately, in the case of foreclosure, most banks have delayed taking title and are not maintaining the property. There are a few homes that the they are maintaining, despite not holding the title, but those are simply cut once every two weeks.
The board understands that the condition of these lawns is affecting the neighbors and the overall look of the community. Management is monitoring the foreclosures and attempting to prod the banks to continue the legal action in hopes of putting the property into the hands of someone who will maintain it to the community standard.
TREE DONATIONS
Donations are now being accepted for the purchase of additional palm trees at the entrance along Auburn Lakes Dr. If you are interested in donating, please contact a board member.
VECA NEWS
The latest information on the Viera East Community Association may be found at www.vecainc.com.
The pool gate code was changed effective July 15, 2011. The new code was circulated with the second assessment notice. If you are more than 90 days past due in your Association fees, you will not receive the new code.
It has become a growing concern among residents and the board; More and more underage children are swimming at the pool without adult supervision. Not only is there a danger to the children but it is a liability to the association and illegal. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult with the ability to swim. Additionally, persons have been sited at the pool after the posted hours. If you are at the pool after sunset, you are trespassing and can be cited by the Sheriff's Dept. If you are cited and are a resident of Auburn Lakes, your pool area privileges will be suspended or revoked. This means that if you are using the pool at anytime, you can fined and possibly arrested for trespassing a second time.
